Recently, Salisbury High School wrestling, basketball and baseball teams held a clothing sale for their respective sports. The sale sold shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, pants, hats, and much more. Orders were due Dec. 12 and the expected delivery for all items is for the week of Jan. 16, 2023.
Additionally, one SHS club, G.I.V.E. (Get Involved Value Everyone), held its annual necessities drive. This drive collects items for the Third Street Alliance Women’s Shelter. Donations were collected until Dec. 16. Items donated included dish soap, body wash, paper towels, toilet paper, first aid kits and much more. Extra credit was offered in some classes to incentivize students to make additional donations.
SHS Yearbook is holding its yearbook sale until the end of December. Yearbooks are on sale for $55 until the new year. For further information about this sale and purchasing, contact Mrs. Freya de Conde-Fisher @fdeconde@salisburysd.org. Looking ahead, winter break starts very soon. For high school and middle school students, winter break will start Dec. 22 with a 12:15 p.m. early dismissal. Elementary school students will get out 1:15 p.m. on that same day.
Winter holiday break will then be Dec. 23 until Jan. 2, 2023. There will be no school during this break and all students will return to their buildings Jan. 3, 2023.
Over winter break, both Salisbury basketball teams will be participating in a holiday basketball tournament Dec. 27 and Dec. 28. The tournament will be held at SHS and other teams participating will be determined as the date more closely approaches. Come out and support the basketball teams during this time.
Be sure to look in future papers for more information about the basketball tournament, the clothing sale delivery and other SHS happenings.
