Theft of vehicle parts

A catalytic converter was removed from a 2008 Ford F450 pickup truck at Tri-County Mechanics, 5772 Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between Oct. 3 and Oct. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A catalytic converter, valued at $600, was removed from a vehicle parked in the 6600 block of Hauser Road, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between 12 a.m. Oct. 11 and 10:29 p.m. Oct. 15, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A catalytic converter, valued at $1,200, was removed from a motor home at a location on Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, between 6 p.m. Oct. 19 and 3 p.m. Oct. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Identity theft

A resident of Morning Star Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned his personal information was used to open a Samsung account and order earbuds, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 24.

A resident of Fairview Court, Upper Milford Township, learned a check was fraudulently used, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 17.

Theft

A Wyomissing resident discovered her wallet was missing after eating at Panera Bread cafe, 6379 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. She was alerted by two of her credit card companies of two fraudulent purchases which were denied. The incident was reported 6:45 p.m. Nov. 5 and the wallet included $80 cash, a Chase bank card, an American Express credit card, a driver’s license, prescription medication and a Medicare card.

A resident of Brunner Road, Upper Milford Township, learned a voided check from May was cashed for approximately $4,700 through his bank, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 17.

A resident of Valley Stream Lane, Lower Macungie Township, learned of attempts to cash three fraudulent checks using her signature, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Oct. 24 and the bank stopped the checks.

A theft of $8,250 allegedly happened in the 1000 block of Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The theft was reported Oct. 8.

A resident of Burgundy Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned a check was altered, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 13.

Harassment

A 57-year-old male, of Coopersburg, was arrested for harassment after he allegedly spat in the face of another person during a dispute at a residence in the 5800 block of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 9:40 a.m. Oct. 24, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

PFA violation

A 27-year-old male, of Alburtis, allegedly contacted another person at a location on Pinewind Drive, Lower Macungie Township, Oct. 12 in violation of a protection from abuse order, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Criminal mischief

The driver’s side door handle of a vehicle was damaged while the vehicle was parked at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary, Orchid Place, Lower Macungie Township, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 12, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The handle appeared to have been damaged in an attempt to enter the vehicle.
