LVHN’s Nite Lites gala returns

Lehigh Valley Health Network got an early start in celebrating Halloween recently with the return of its annual black-tie fundraiser, Nite Lites. The event was held beneath a large tent on the campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. This was the first Nite Lites since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“After three years, Nite Lites is back and better than ever,” said Brian A. Nester, DO, MBA, LVHN’s president and CEO. “Looking out over this wonderful crowd is amazing. All of you are amazing as well for your support of this event.”

Guests at the elegant fundraiser numbered about 900, with proceeds benefiting Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital, the region’s only children’s hospital. J.B. and Kathleen Reilly, after whom the hospital is named, were among those in attendance.

The theme of this year’s event was Hallows Eve Ball, which, in addition to dining and dancing, featured a Halloween costume fashion show spotlighting about 30 members of LVHN leadership and their ‘spooktacular’ attire.

Nester thanked more than 70 sponsors for their support, giving special recognition to Haldeman Lincoln as the title sponsor. The event raised nearly $1 million and Nester stressed how the generosity of the sponsors and guests will further the growth of the children’s hospital to provide world-class care to the children of this region and beyond.

The children’s hospital celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and 2022 marked the first anniversary for both the Breidegam Family Children’s ER and the Jeffrey Paul and Grace Kathryn Feather Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Other sponsors included B. Braun Medical Inc., Lutron Electronics, Gross McGinley LLP, Norris McLaughlin, Crothall Healthcare, Medical Imaging of Lehigh Valley P.C., Morrison Healthcare, PenTeleData, Post & Schell P.C., Bracy Construction Inc., PATHS LLC, Service Electric Cable TV and Communications, Victaulic, AIG Retirement Services, ESG Systems LLC, Interior Workplace Solutions and Valley Preferred.
