We need to fund our police properly to make sure they are fully staffed and well trained to deal with all types of situations. As a representative, I will work to reform the cash bail system for nonviolent offenses while upholding strict principles of accountability for violent crimes. I will also work with county district attorney's offices to ensure they have the resources to prosecute violent criminals. As President James Madison said in Federalist #10, a safe and secure society is a prerequisite for a prosperous society of equality.

My local Democrat colleagues in the House voted in support of the radical Philadelphia DA who refuses to press charges and releases known criminals back onto the streets.
