Northampton Area Public Library: Youth Book Club scheduled to meet Nov. 3 at the library

The Book Club for grades 3-5 will meet 6 p.m. Nov. 3.

The group will be reading “Shirley and Jamila’s Big Fall” by Gillian Goerz.

A new craft is available Nov. 7 and 21 for children.

Crafts are first come, first served.

Be part of our handmade holiday cards project. Pickup begins Nov. 7 for kits to make two or three cards that will brighten the season for our homebound patrons.

Cards are due back to the library by Nov. 28.

Register to read to Sunshine the therapy dog Nov. 10.

Sign up for a 15-minute time slot, available 4:30-5:30 p.m.

The Game Club meets 6 p.m. Nov. 10.

Teens are invited to join us 3 p.m. Nov. 14 to create an acorn craft.

Register online beforehand, so there are enough supplies.

For our needle and thread aficionados, feel free to join us for Stitch and Chat 6 p.m. Nov. 15.

The STEAM Craft Club will be creating a harvest volcano 6 p.m. Nov. 17.

To prepare for the Christmas season, join us noon Nov. 19 for a special Sugar Plum Fairy storytime with a principal dancer from the Pennsylvania Classical Ballet Academy’s production of “The Nutcracker!”

Register your children ages 2 and older for this wonderful photo opportunity.

With November beginning, it’s hard to believe this year is almost over.

As we head into the holidays, the board and staff of NAPL wish all of you and yours a restful, happy season!

Know we will always be here to help you with your information and entertainment needs as autumn declines and winter closes in on us.

We will close 5 p.m. Nov. 23 and be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Nov. 24.

An Hour to Kill will be back in person 6 p.m. Nov. 28.

This month’s theme is holiday horrors. Pick a holiday, pick a crime, and join us.

Laid Back Book Club continues this month with Ruth Hogan’s “The Keeper of Lost Things.”

We’ll also be choosing our winter and spring reads, so stay tuned!

Autumn storytimes will continue with lap-sit storytime for ages 0-24 months 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays, toddler storytime for ages 18-36 months 10 a.m. Wednesdays and preschool storytime for ages 3-5 years 10 a.m. Thursdays.
