Vehicle theft

A white Fiat 500x was removed from a driveway at a location on Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, between 10 and 11 p.m. Sept. 17, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside, according to authorities.

DUI accident

A 29-year-old male motorist, of Whitehall, was allegedly driving under the influence when his vehicle crashed near the intersection of U.S. Route 222 and Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 2:04 a.m. Sept. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The motorist was merging onto Route 222 North from Hamilton Boulevard when the vehicle crossed all lanes and struck the center median separating U.S. Route 222 North from U.S. Route 222 South. The crash entrapped the motorist, according to authorities. Macungie EMS and the Lower Macungie Fire Department also responded.

Accidents

An 18-year-old motorist and his 16-year-old passenger, both of Emmaus, escaped injury when their sport utility vehicle flipped, landing on its roof, in the eastbound lane of Lower Macungie Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:27 p.m. Sept. 7, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was westbound when the motorist lost control, went off the road and struck a rock retaining wall before toppling.

A 31-year-old male, of Boyertown, escaped injury when his vehicle toppled onto its side in a one-vehicle accident in the 4700 block of Churchview Road, Upper Milford Township, 4:36 p.m. Sept. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was traveling east when the motorist threw a cigarette out of the vehicle window, which flew directly back into the motorist’s face and caused him to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle swerved and hit an embankment before rolling onto its passenger side.

DUI

A 47-year-old male, of Alburtis, was arrested for allegedly driving under under the influence after a two-vehicle crash on Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:15 p.m. Sept. 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 35-year-old female, of Emmaus, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in a DUI checkpoint detail on Buckeye Road and Tank Farm Road, Upper Milford Township, 12:48 a.m. Sept. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A 28-year-old female, of Macungie, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at the intersection of Buckeye Road and Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, 11:41 p.m. Sept. 4, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Harassment

A 47-year-old male, of Lower Macungie Township, was arrested for harassment after he allegedly made harassing remarks to another person at a location on Clauss Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 3:13 p.m. Aug. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Identity theft

A resident of Cambridge Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned a credit card was opened in her name and a charge of $700 was made, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 12.

A resident of Laurie Drive, Upper Milford Township, learned her personal information was used to open a bank account, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 2 and the account was closed before any transactions were made.

A resident of Fresh Meadow Drive, Lower Macungie Township, learned an unknown person accessed her account for an online and mobile prepared food ordering and delivery platform and made fraudulent purchases, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 8.

A resident of the 1000 block of Westview Drive, Lower Milford Township, learned $359.68 in unauthorized transactions were made on her bank account, including purchases from Giant food stores, McDonald’s and a Chinese restaurant, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 12.

Scam

A resident of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, was swindled out of $4,700 through a hacked social media account offering investment opportunities in digital currency, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Criminal mischief

Someone damaged a spray gun at New Wave Car Wash, 3156 Pennsylvania Route 100, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Sept. 7 and the spray gun was valued at $98.68.

A 36-year-old male, of Breinigsville, was taken into custody after he allegedly used a padlock to damage the rear of a box truck at a location on Willow Lane, Lower Macungie Township, 2:28 p.m. Sept. 12, according to Pennsylvania State Fogelsville. An investigation revealed outstanding warrants against the male.

A vehicle was egged at a location on Oplinger Road, Lower Macungie Township, between July 17 and 21, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

A resident of Buttercup Road, Lower Macungie Township, discovered her vehicle was vandalized between Sept. 12 and 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
