Public Library of Catasauqua: Read about murder, mystery and mayhem at the library

Do you like solving puzzles?

Many of us enjoy putting together a jigsaw puzzle or solving a Rubik’s Cube.

But think of the detectives who are faced with solving the puzzle of a crime with only a few clues to help them. Many crimes are solved. Some are not solved for many years.

I read the other day of four famous - although infamous is more descriptive - murders where three bodies were found but a fourth has been missing since the 1960s.

The search is still ongoing because a fine police force does its utmost to resolve a crime to give the families of the victims peace of mind.

True crime books are a fascinating genre. We have many riveting accounts of true crimes, both solved and unsolved. Maybe you can solve them!

We also have a very large collection of fictional detective stories, with settings ranging from Africa, America and the United Kingdom.

Can you guess who the victim will be?

Do you have a feeling that you know who the perpetrator of the crime is?

Are you always surprised by the ending?

As the cold weather begins, don’t forget to pop in, pour a coffee and sit down in our cozy library to solve a murder.
