Dolores F. Hoppes

Dolores “Tootie” F. Hoppes, 93, of Northampton, died Oct. 16, 2022, while in the care of Lehigh Valley Hospice. She was the wife of the late James M. Hoppes Sr. for 59 years.

Born in Kreidersville, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Minnie (Muschko) Edelman.

She was briefly employed at Cross Country Clothing, Northampton.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Northampton.

She is survived by four children, Charmaine Magnuzewski and her husband Joe, James Jr. and his wife Donna, Valerie Madea and her husband David and Rodney and his wife Shari; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald Edelman with Miriam and Eugene Edelman with Sharon; a sister, Marlene Newhart; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Eileen Causerano; a granddaughter, Michele Mason-Paul; three brothers, Clarence, Allen and Martin Edelman; five sisters, Lorraine Edelman, Marie Hahn, Pearl Zuberka, Diane Mall and Maryann Neetz; a stepbrother, Carl Edelman; and two stepsisters, Edith Santee and Ruth Stettler.

There will be a calling time 9-10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service 11 a.m., Oct. 20 in the church, 1335 Old Carriage Road, Northampton.

Contributions may be made to the church or to Lehigh Valley Hospice.
