Richard Charles Dengler

Richard Charles Dengler, 78, formerly of Allentown, died Sept. 15, 2022, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born Dec. 28, 1943, in Allentown, he was a son of the late Charles Albert and Catherine Mildred (Rice) Dengler.

He was employed by Crothall Health Care, and was a former employee of Everson Electric.

He also worked for his father at the family food concession stand at The Great Allentown Fair.

His passions included horses, dog training, fishing and people.

He made friends easily because he loved people.

A member of Blue Mountain Rod and Gun Club, he enjoyed fishing with his brother, Randy, niece, Stacy, nephew, Charles, and grandnephew, Gavon.

He attended church at House of Refuge Assembly of God, Allentown.

His survivors include sisters Betty (Dengler) Fritzinger and her husband, Robert, of Allentown, Kathleen (Dengler) Peltz and her husband, William, of Huntersville, N.C.; brothers Terry R. Dengler and his wife, Darlene (Frantz), of Schnecksville, Randy M. Dengler of Slatington; sister-in-law Patricia (Buss) Dengler of Allentown; several nieces and nephews; and significant other, Elaine E. Leh, with whom he resided.

He was predeceased by brother, Marvin R. Dengler, and niece, Stacey R. Dengler.
