Germansville resident

honor society inductee

Jacob Creitz, Germansville, is one of 14 students to be inducted into Delta Alpha Pi, an academic honor society for students with disabilities at Lebanon Valley College, Annville.

Creitz, a graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, recently received a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders.

He is pursuing a Master of Science in speech-language pathology at LVC.

Established in 2004, Delta Alpha Pi presents an opportunity to change negative perceptions of persons with disabilities by recognizing those with exemplary academic records.

By working for an “aDAPtable world,” the members of Delta Alpha Pi challenge society to view disability as an aspect of diversity, existing on a continuum throughout an individual’s lifespan, and encourage the implementation of universal design, so that the environment (learning, physical, attitudinal), not the individual, adjusts to provide access to all individuals.

Undergraduate candidates must have completed a total of 24 credits and earned a cumulative average of 3.1.
