DevonHouse Wheelchair/walker event supports Alzheimer’s Association

While most drivers have been through a car wash, disabled geriatric seniors who get around with the help of a wheelchair or walker don’t get to have that experience.

Employees at DevonHouse Senior Living and geriatric rehabilitation provider Fox Rehabilitation hosted a lighthearted wheelchair/walker wash and sanitize event at DevonHouse, along Bevin Drive in the western portion of Salisbury Township Sept. 15.

The event was held to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and was open to DevonHouse residents and the public.

A basket raffle table provided information pamphlets for the Alzheimer’s Association and for Fox Rehabilitation, a firm providing geriatric rehabilitation services in 28 states.

Hamburgers and other picnic fare served on an outdoor patio added to the festive air of an end-of-summer event held on a perfect-weather day.
