Catasauqua Middle School has announced the names of students honored as Roughie of the Month for September. The honorees include Gabriel Gonzalez, fifth grade; Jaxon Beaton, sixth grade; Dailenny Espada, seventh grade; and Leonardo Rodriguez Batista, eighth grade.

The Star Student of the Month program has been changed to coincide with the new Positive Behavior Interventions Support program called the Rough Rider program.

The students will be recognized at the school board meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. Oct. 11.

CMS will be closed Oct. 10 for Columbus Day.
