Rough Roundup: Volleyball gets a win

The volleyball team lost 3-0 to Southern Lehigh: 25-6, 25-11, 25-9

For Catty Delaney Troxell had 2 kills, 2 aces, 7 digs and 3 blocks.

The girls knocked off Tamaqua in four sets this week: 24-26, 25-21, 25-16, 25-19. As of early this week, the team sits at 3-5.

Briell Carvalho had 5 aces, 2 kills and 9 digs, Delaney Troxell had 6 aces, 6 kills, 12 digs and a block.

Oliva Burnett added a kill and 3 digs while Lauren Delong chipped in with 2 kills, 4 assists and 3 digs.

Jane Armbruster came up with an ace, 2 kills and 4 digs and Amanda Hunsberger had 3 aces, 3 kills and 7 digs and Angelis Ramos-Pichardo had an ace, 5 assists and a block.

The JV team fell 2-1 26-28, 25-19, 13-15 vs. Tamaqua and 2-1 vs. Pen Argyl, 14-25, 25-22, 5-15.

Madison Monberger had 7 aces and Makayla Bird had 4 aces and 7 kills.

Jane Armbruster had 6 aces, Davina Fields added 3 kills and Maliya Walp had 8 aces.


The boys soccer team lost 8-2 to Moravian Academy

No other information was available.

The team did beat Salisbury 1-0.

Mason Forstoffer scored the game’s only goal and it was assisted by Osmar Ferre.

The team recently lost to Southern Lehigh 5-0.

Tucker Mack scored 2 goals and Danielle Magallanes, Chris Venezia and Jack Johnson each added one.

Assists went to Matthew O’Neill and Landon Bealer.


The field hockey team lost to Wilson 7-0

Catasauqua goalkeeper Sophia Becker had 31 saves and Shelby Haldeman had a defensive save.

Wilson had a goals by Sophia Bandi (2), Melissa Shunk (2), Zoey Ehlamn (2), Goal by Sophia Bandi, Julia Danser.


The girls soccer team lost to Salisbury 3-0.

Falcon goals came from Madison Reis 2 and Gabi Pena 1, Assists were by Autumn Evans, Sydney Ziegenfus and Kaitlyn Neuhs.

Hannah Kamp had 14.

The team lost 8-0 to Moravian Academy.

Elle Price scored three goals and Angle Perrucci added two.
