Delma Iacocca Kelechava 100 years old

Delma “Del” Iacocca Kelechava, 100, of Bethlehem, died at home Aug. 19, 2022. She was a daughter of the late Nicola and Antonietta Perrotta Iacocca, first generation immigrants from Italy. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Kelechava for 36 years.

She was a 1940 graduate of Allentown HS.

She was a dance instructor when she was a young girl. She worked for 10 years with the American Optical Company. She worked for her father’s real estate development company and restaurant ventures, including the Four Chefs Restaurant on Union Boulevard. She and her husband owned and operated the Bethlehem Ford dealership from the 60s to the 80s.

She is survived by four children, Laurie of Bethlehem, Lee (Meryl Cooper) of Easton, Kurt (Judy) of Bethlehem and Lisa (Richard Torbett) of Knoxville, Tennesee; five grandsons, Marc, Erik, Kyle, Alex and Brad, two nieces, Kathryn Iacocca Hentz (Ned) and Lia Iacocca Assad (Victor); and eight great-nieces and great-nephews, Mary-Cait, Molly, Arianna, Maeve, Parker, Nicolas, Logan and Trey.

She was predeceased by a brother, Lido “Lee” Iacocca.

She was a member of the Tuesday Club of Bethlehem of which she was a president for two years. She volunteered for the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island Foundation, New York for the original restoration efforts and the Iacocca Institute’s Global Village.
