Heritage Fest

PRESS PHOTOS BY CHRISTINA SANTO Lou Franco Project provides live music during Whitehall Heritage Fest, held June 25 on Mickley Road, between Gallagher and Lehnert roads. The event was presented by Whitehall Township, Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce and Trulieve.
Christine Murray, an environmental educator with Wildlands Conservancy, shows a snake and discusses native versus invasive species and the importance of stream macroinvertebrates. Murray brought three other animals to the event.
Vendors, displays and food trucks line Mickley Road, which was blocked off for the festival. Vendors sold everything from candles and soap to faux potted succulents and ceramics. Food trucks offered frozen treats, funnel cakes, gyros and more.
Whitehall Historical Preservation Society's Helfrich Springs Grist Mill showcases permanent displays and a student art competition, held across the school district.
