The Emmaus Historical Society will hold its annual member picnic at the Moser Pavillion at Emmaus Community Park 5:30 p.m. The society will supply the entrees and drinks. Members are asked to bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert. RSVP by calling 610-966-6591. Nonmembers and guests are welcome and asked to contribute a set cost for individuals or family which pays for 2022 membership dues

June 17

Lehigh Carbon Community College will host the 18th annual LCCC Foundation Scholarship Clay Shoot at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays in Coplay. Registrations are open to the public and are now being accepted. All proceeds for this event will benefit students in the college’s workforce programs, advanced manufacturing, CDL, trade and certificate training including students who are active military or veterans. Entry includes 100 rounds of clay shooting, shells for the event, continental breakfast, awards and pig roast lunch. Stahl’s 35th Summer Pottery Festival 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., 6826 Corning Road, Zionsville. Event includes pottery demonstrations, contemporary potters selling their wares, tours of historic redware pottery and a museum exhibit. Faith Presbyterian Church, 3002 N. Second St., Emmaus, in partnership with the BARN Community, is conducting Vacation Bible School (VBS) for kids age 3 through fifth grade at Faith Church, 6-8 p.m. Kids will enjoy the fun of games, stories, music and crafts. This year’s theme is “Lighthouse Kids – Shining God’s Light.” Registration forms and more information is available on the church’s website www.Faithchurchemmaus.org. The Emmaus Garden Club is hosting a self-guided garden tour of seven local gardens 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Lunch 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be included and shopping from several vendors will also be available 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a cost. Tickets can be purchased at Dan Schantz Greenhouse, Eagle Point Farm Market, Faith Presbyterian Church Emmaus (day of the tour only), Herbein’s Garden Center and Lehigh Valley Home & Garden Center. All proceeds benefit the East Penn Neighbors helping Neighbors Organization. JR Peters (Jack’s) Fertilizers is sponsoring the tour. For more information, call 610-395-0903.

Hivel Und Dahl Preservation Society quarterly meeting 7 p.m. at the Upper Milford Township Building, 5671 Chestnut St. Zionsville. Darius Puff, Native American Storyteller, will present the program, History and Customs of the Lenape. The program is free and everyone is welcome.
