Ice Cream Festival needs volunteers

Can you believe there are only four more days of school? Every year it seems to go faster and faster.

Make sure you take the time to view the Salisbury Elementary School talent show. I hear there are some great performances this year.

The fourth grade class will have its graduation and picnic June 2.

The last T-shirt day of the school year at SES is June 3.

I need to make a correction. In my last column I said the SES Ice Cream Festival was June 7; it is really June 4. It will be held noon to 4 p.m. So sorry for the confusion.

Come out this Saturday for food, games and ice cream.

Did I mention there will be some staff members in the dunk tank? Try your luck at dropping them into the water. Volunteers are still needed for the event.

Salisbury High School graduation ceremonies will be 7 p.m. June 5 at the high school stadium. This event is by invitation only.

The last two days of school are early dismissals. On June 6, the high school and middle school will dismiss 12:15 p.m. and the elementary school 1:15 p.m. On June 7, the high school and middle school will clear out for the year 10:30 a.m. and SES will clear out the halls 11:15 a.m. Woo Hoo!

Salisbury Township yard waste drop off sites are open. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

Franko Farm will be open June 2, 4 and 13.

The Devonshire site will be open June 6, 9 and 11. For a complete listing of acceptable items, visit the township website under the heading “Refuse and Recycling.”
