Northampton police

Northampton police responded to these and other calls recently.

MARCH 31

A warrant service was served in the 2000 block of Center Street. During Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program stops of commercial vehicles, commercial vehicle safety Officer Schaeffer took a male into custody for an active warrant out of Berks County. The male was transported to the station and, per Berks County, was transported to Northampton County Prison.

APRIL 1

Officers assisted Whitehall police in the 100 block of Jeffrey Lane in locating a female.

A civil matter occurred in the 1400 block of Main Street.

Police checked on the welfare of a female in the 2300 block of Washington Avenue.

APRIL 2

Suspected DUI cases were investigated in the 500 block of East 21st Street, at East 23rd Street and Siegfried Avenue and at East 21st Street and Northampton Avenue.

Traffic stops were conducted at Canal and West 21st streets and in the 1300 block of Stewart Street.

Officers responded to a loud music complaint in the 700 block of Washington Avenue.

Police checked on the welfare of a male in the 2000 block of Main Street and on a female in the 1300 block of Laubach Avenue.

Suspicious activity in the 1400 block of Canal Street was reported.

Officers assisted a female in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

APRIL 3

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1700 block of Main Street.

Police responded to a neighbor complaint in the unit block of West 13th Street.

A suspected DUI in the 900 block of Howertown Road was investigated.

In the 2200 block of Washington Avenue, a report of a suspicious vehicle had police at the scene.

APRIL 4

Reports of civil matters in the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue and the 2100 block of Washington Avenue were investigated.

A noise complaint in the 1500 block of Railroad Street was filed with the department.

At Center and West 19th streets, a female with an active warrant was taken into custody, transported to the police station and released to Northampton County constables.

Police assisted a female in the 100 block of East Fourth Street and a male in the 1400 block of Laubach Avenue.

A hit and run took place in the 1500 block of Main Street. The mirror of a legally parked vehicle was struck.

In the 1000 block of Main Street, police responded to a report of a suspicious person.

Traffic stops were conducted at East Fourth Street and Howertown Road and at Howertown Road and East Third Street.

A neighbor complaint in the 500 block of East Fourth Street was filed with the department.

APRIL 5

An unattended death in the 1300 block of Washington Avenue was investigated.

On Smith Lane and at West Ninth and Main streets, reports of juvenile issues were addressed.

A traffic stop was conducted in the 1600 block of Main Street.

Criminal mischief to a street sign occurred at Lerchenmiller and Clear Springs drives.

APRIL 6

A traffic stop was conducted at East 14th Street and Washington Avenue.

Officers investigated a report of a civil matter in the 1400 block of Main Street.

A warrant was served in the 300 block of East 21st Street for Perkasie police. The male was taken into custody, transported to the police station and released to Perkasie officers.

Police responded to a report of a juvenile issue at East Seventh Street and Washington Avenue.

APRIL 7

At Main and East 14th streets, a traffic stop was conducted.

In the 2000 block of Main Street, police investigated a report of a civil issue.
