Penn State Extension: African violet workshop set for April 23

One of the most common house plants is the African violet. These plants are readily available with a variety of different colors and patterns.

Join Penn State Extension Master Gardeners to learn about these fascinating plants over a cup of coffee or hot tea 10 a.m.-noon April 23 at Blocker’s Coffeehouse, 309 Front St., Catasauqua.

The cost is $15, and preregistration is required. No walk-ins will be accepted.

Each participant will be given a Penn State Extension Master Gardener ‘pot’ mug to fill at their own discretion. Registration includes a pot, soil and an African violet to take home.

Refreshments are not included with registration.

Master Gardener volunteers support Penn State Extension’s educational programs in consumer horticulture. They develop their horticultural expertise through participation in educational training classes conducted by Penn State University faculty and Extension staff.
