Shots fired

Police responded to a report of shots fired at the Easton Avenue Big Woody’s parking lot around 11 p.m. April 8, and that an active physical altercation was occurring.

Officers arrested Brian Saffarally, 36, and Judith Saffarally, 35, both of the 400 block of N. Second St., Lehighton.

An investigation determined that during the course of a disturbance both Saffarallys had possession of a handgun at times, firing it and threatening customers. The restaurant’s front window was shot and broken.

The firearm was recovered at the scene by police.

There were no injuries reported from the discharge of the firearm.

Brian Saffarally is charged with numerous criminal offenses, and both individuals were expected to be preliminarily arraigned.
