Salisbury Township needs bus drivers

There will be a school board meeting 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19 in the administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road, Allentown. I would like to welcome our new board members and I can’t wait to see what is accomplished in the near future.

Jan. 20 marks the end of the second semester for students at Salisbury Middle School and Salisbury High School. Look for report cards to be emailed several days later.

Salisbury Township School District is in need of bus drivers. If you or someone you know is looking for a part- time job with paid training, contact Joanna at the bus terminal at 610-797-0432.

Students in grades 9-11 who are interested in Lehigh Career and Technical Institute for next school year and who are currently not enrolled can fill out their application online. An email was sent to all students and parents regarding this with the link. All LCTI applications are due by Feb. 9, no exceptions. For questions, contact your student’s guidance counselor.

Salisbury Youth Association spring registrations for in-house baseball and travel baseball are now open. Registration is online at syasports.net and will be open until Feb. 27. All fees are due at registration, which is only online this year. Click on the appropriate link and complete the process to be registered.

Any SMS/SHS student who has played a fall sport and intends to play a spring sport must have a recertification form completed in the Planet HS account. They do not need a new physical.

Any student who did not play a fall sport and intends to play a spring sport, does need a physical. Free sports physicals will be done Feb. 23 in the SHS old gym. Go to the district website and click on the sign-up genius link to schedule your appointment and receive directions. You may also get a physical from your physician or other approved medical provider. Spring sports officially begin March 7. Any questions, contact Monica Deeb at mdeeb@salisburysd.org.
