Catasauqua police

Catasauqua police responded to these and other calls recently.

JAN. 3

In the 400 block of Bridge Street and the 200 block of Front Street, officers responded to parking complaints.

Suspicious activity was reported in the 500 block of Race Street and the 200 block of Second Street.

A report of a juvenile threat was investigated at Catasauqua High School, 2500 W. Bullshead Road, Northampton.

At Limestone and Pine streets, a vehicle stop was conducted.

Officers assisted North Catasauqua police in the 1000 block of Railroad Street and the 1300 block of Third Street, both in North Catasauqua, the latter for a traffic stop.

An animal complaint in the 200 block of South Front Street was addressed.

At Church and Limestone streets, a report of disorderly conduct and/or a disturbance was investigated.

JAN. 4

A license plate and registration were seized at American and Kurtz streets.

Officers conducted a welfare check in the 400 block of Walnut Street.

At the same residence on Covington Place, officers responded to a domestic disturbance and conducted a warrant service.

A burglar alarm sounded in the 500 block of Howertown Road.

Catalytic converters were reported stolen in the 200 block of Race Street.

JAN. 5

Vehicle stops for traffic violations occurred at Second and Linden streets; at 11th Street and Bath Avenue, with a verbal warning issued; at 547 Front St., with citations to be filed; and in the 500 block of Race Street, with citations filed.

Police investigated a parking complaint on Front Street. The vehicle was ticketed.

JAN. 6

Criminal mischief - damage to a vehicle - in the 400 block of Race Street was reported.

Police conducted citizen assists in the 400 block of Bridge Street.

Officers checked on the welfare of a person at South 15th and Race streets and in the 200 block of Mulberry Street.

A driver was cited for a traffic violation during a vehicle stop on Pine Street.

Thefts from vehicles occurred in the 500 block of North 14th Street; on Covington Place; at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.; and on Stonewood Place.

Attempted thefts from vehicles occurred at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St.; in the 500 block of North 14th Street; and in the 900 block of Bridge Street.

JAN. 7

A cellphone was reported stolen at Sheckler Elementary School, 251 N. 14th St.

In the 400 block of North 14th Street, a theft from a vehicle took place.

A burglar alarm sounded in the 100 block of Pine Street.

Officers responded to an animal complaint in the 200 block of Wood Street.

An overdose occurred in the 100 block of Church Street, the department said.

Police assisted citizens in the 100 block of Bridge Street and in the 200 block of Second Street.

JAN. 8

During a vehicle stop for a traffic ordinance violation on Pine Street, a driver was cited.

In the 300 block of Mulberry Street, a disturbance involving a fight was addressed.

On Pineapple Street, in the 700 block of Poplar Street and at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., officers investigated domestic disputes.

Officers assisted an outside agency in the 700 block of Circle Drive for a death notification.

At Catasauqua Middle School, 850 Pine St., police assisted a citizen.

JAN. 9

Noise complaints were investigated on North 14th Street, at Circle Drive and Erie Street, in the 800 block of Circle Drive and in the 500 block of Poplar Street.

A mental health case was addressed in the 500 block of Pine Street.

Police assisted citizens at Whittier Place Apartments, 895 Walnut St., and in the 300 block of Mulberry Street, the latter case being referred to code enforcement.

At Church and Front streets and at Front and Bridge streets, truck violations occurred.

An unwanted person on Covington Place was reported.

In the 600 block of Front Street, a domestic disturbance was investigated. No arrests were made.
