Women of excellence distribute gifts for 18th year

Christmas for Kids founder and CEO Enid Jackson is a human dynamo.

She is amazing to watch as she organizes volunteers, delegates tasks, categorizes toys, and moves parents and children through this improvised gift distribution center on the fifth floor of the Wells Fargo building on the Southside.

This program had been at Broughal MS in previous years, but due to COVID restrictions found it necessary to find another site. Jackson expressed gratitude to all the sponsors who provided toys, food, volunteers, and to the owners of the Wells Fargo building for making this site available.

Women of Excellence, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower girls and their families, organizes this yearly event. Jackson has led the Christmas for Kids program for 18 years, saying, “we started out providing for kids in Easton and Bethlehem but the program has grown so much we now care for the entire Lehigh Valley.”
