Injured fire leaves Lehigh Valley Hospital Nov. 19

Press Photo by Jim Marsh A large contingent of fire apparatus from across Lehigh County lines Fish Hatchery Road the afternoon of Nov. 19 to escort an injured Cetronia Fire Department firefighter to his South Whitehall home after his release from Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus. A large American flag is raised above the escorting apparatus at the top of the Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company aerial ladder truck as a traditional sign of respect to honor injured and deceased first responders. Andrew Kloss was one of two Cetronia firefighters suffering burns and traumatic injuries fighting an early morning fire Nov. 16 at a mansion at 3015 Barrington Lane, in the western portion of Salisbury Township. The other firefighter, Jared Diachysky, was given a similar escort by his Cetronia Fire Department colleagues after he was released from the hospital Nov. 17.
