Simple assault

Michael Sharrer, 36, of Coopersburg, was arrested Nov. 21 for alleged simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, criminal trespass and criminal mischief following an incident in the 500 block of Broad St, according to Emmaus police. In a media release, Emmaus police outlined the incident as follows: At 12:40 a.m. Nov. 21, Emmaus officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 Block of Broad Street for an open 911 line with a male in the background saying “go away.” Officers arrived at the residence within minutes. Investigation revealed a disturbance outside, which progressed into the residence. Sharrer is alleged to have entered the residence and pointed a handgun at people inside the residence. He is also alleged to have caused damage to the door prior to entering the residence. Sharrer was taken into custody at the scene and transported to Lehigh County Central Booking.

Trey Joshua Ealey, 21, of Emmaus, was arrested Nov. 19 for alleged simple assault and harassment after an incident in the area of Chestnut Street and South 10th Street, according to Emmaus police. Ealey was transported to Lehigh County Booking Center.

Retail theft

A 56-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested Nov. 11 for retail theft following an incident at Wawa convenience store, 201 S. Cedar Crest Blvd. Oct. 26, during which he allegedly removed $46 worth of merchandise, according to Emmaus police. He was transported to Lehigh County Booking Center.

A 57-year-old female, of Wescosville, was arrested Nov. 5 for three counts of retail theft after she allegedly removed items from Weis Markets, 1220 Chestnut St., in three separate incidents, according to Emmaus police.

Theft

Two hundred gallons of cooking oil, valued at $900, was stolen from the rear of 1301 Chestnut St., according to Emmaus police. The incident was reported Nov. 19.

Disorderly conduct

A 16-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested Nov. 4 for alleged disorderly conduct following an incident at Emmaus High School, 500 Macungie Ave., according to Emmaus police.

A 16-year-old female, of Macungie, was arrested Nov. 16 for alleged disorderly conduct after an incident at Emmaus High School, 500 Macungie Ave., according to Emmaus police.

A 14-year-old male, of Macungie, was arrested Nov. 22 for alleged disorderly conduct following an altercation at Emmaus High School, 500 Macungie Ave., according to Emmaus police.

Harassment

A 35-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested Nov. 18 for alleged harassment in the unit block of South Fifth Street, according to Emmaus police.

A 14-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested Nov. 15 for alleged harassment following an incident at Emmaus High School, 500 Macungie Ave., according to Emmaus police.

Criminal mischief

A 22-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested Nov. 22 for alleged criminal mischief, scattering rubbish and disorderly conduct after allegedly damaging Arch Street playground, 1391 Arch St., according to Emmaus police.

Found items

A Kent bicycle was found in the 600 block of Broad Street Nov. 8, according to Emmaus police. The bicycle is held at the Emmaus Police Department headquarters, 400 W. Jubilee St.

A leather key chain containing three keys was found at Third and Adrain streets Nov. 8, according to Emmaus police. The key chain is held at the Emmaus Police Department headquarters, 400 W. Jubilee St.
