Paul E. “Pete” Derr, 94, of Macungie, died Nov. 6, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salibury Township. He was the husband of Shirley (Stoner) Derr, with whom he shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Dr. Raymond K. and Eva (Horne) Derr.
He attended Hosensack Evangelical Congregational Church, Zionsville.
Before retiring in the late 1980s, he worked as an electrical engineer at PPL Electric for many years.
He was a World War II Navy veteran.
He was an amateur radio operator and will be remembered for his world wide adventures of traveling, sailing, biking, skiing and especially riding his Harley.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Reid S. and his wife, Nancy, of Statesboro, Ga., Mark S. and his wife, Donna, of Macungie, Lee S., of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a daughter, Margie S. and her husband, Dave Mansfield, of Wolfeboro Falls, N.H.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Nov. 12 at the Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. Calling will begin 9:30 a.m.
