MaryAnn Smith, 84, formerly of East Elm Street, Emmaus, died Nov. 6, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest campus, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Edward W. Smith Jr. Born in Mount Vernon, N. Y., she was the daughter of the late George Burnham and Helen Pearsall.

She was employed at Rodale Press for many years until retiring.

She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by a son, Edward J. and his wife, Trina, of New Tripoli; daughters, Grace M. and her husband, Michael Sebastian, of Emmaus and Patricia A. and her husband, Philip Schiebel, of Orefield; a brother, Richard Burnham; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Catherine M. Kichline.

Contributions may be made to the church or to the American Cancer Society.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 13 at St. Ann Catholic Church, 415 S. Sixth St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held 9 to 10:15 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm St., Emmaus.
