Russell Hawkridge, 94, of Emmaus, died Oct. 28, 2021, in his home. He was the husband of the late Ruth M. H. (Herold) Hawkridge. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James H. and Sophia (Haug) Hawkridge.

He was a firefighter for the Philadelphia Fire Department for 27 years until retiring.

He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Lynn Kettenburg; nieces and nephews, Kate, Scott, Kathy, Chuck, Jimmy and Ginger; a brother-in-law, Frederick Herold Jr. He was predeceased by a son, Brian.

Services are private. Arrangements entrusted to the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
