Eileen A. Worth, 97, of Luther Crest Retirement Community, South Whitehall, formerly of the Fairways at Brookside, Macungie, died Oct. 24, 2021, in the Health Center at Luther Crest. She was the wife of the late Attorney Wallace C. Worth Jr.
She was a graduate of St. Luke’s School of Nursing, Bethlehem and attended Teachers College, Columbia University, New York City.
A registered nurse, she worked in private duty nursing and at hospitals in the Carlisle area while her husband was attending Dickinson School of Law. She retired after many years of dedicated service at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill.
She owned and operated the former Inn of the Unicorn, Freemansburg.
She was a past vice chairman of the Lehigh County Republican Party and past president of the Allentown Optimist Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Priscilla L. Conbeer, of Northampton; a sister, Frances Dybas, of Johnstown, N.Y.; grandchildren, Jocelyn Conbeer, of Maryland, Jarrett Conbeer, of Coplay, Megan and her husband, Michael Williams, of Slatington; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Williams and Madden Williams; a niece, Joan and her husband, Evan Kocher, of Easton; nephews, Attorney Jeffrey R. Dimmich and his wife, Kathleen B., of Orefield, Dr. Gregory W. Dimmich and his wife, Stephanie B., of Allentown and John Kelly and his wife, Marybeth, of Phoenixville.
