Carolyn A. Schirmacher, 87, of Whitehall, died Oct. 7, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late James P. Schirmacher.

Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Beatrice (Weil) Walczuk.

She last worked as a cashier at Michael’s Arts & Crafts, Whitehall, before retiring. Earlier, she worked for the former Woolworths, Whitehall, in customer service for 13 years.

She is survived by two children, Neil J. and his wife Debra and Linda A. Douglas, all of Whitehall; a sister, Mae Ralston of Whippany, N.J.; two grandsons, Shawn and Steven; and a great-granddaughter, Ava.

She was predeceased by a son, Richard.

Services are private.
