Richard L. Kehm
Richard L. Kehm, 80, of Macungie, died Oct. 2, 2021, after a three and a half year courageous battle with AML. He was the loving husband of Phyllis J. (Ruff) Moss Kehm and his late wife, Dolores E. (Bauer) Kehm. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clifford and Mary (Fluck) Kehm.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a proud plank owner of the USS Kitty Hawk.
He retired from Mack Trucks, Inc., after 30 years.
In retirement he enjoyed working in his yard and listening to country music and going to see his favorite band, The Majestics.
He was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd U.C.C., Alburtis.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Ted R. and his wife, Diane, Kevin L. and his wife, Kelley, both of Macungie; stepchildren, Michele (Moss) Solarek and her companion, Mark Glose, of Catasquaua, Timothy J. Moss and his wife, Michele, of Macungie and Thomas J. Moss and his husband, Hector, of Alburtis; grandchildren, Alyssa Phal, and her husband, Brad, Emily, Rachel, Alexandra and Grace; stepgrandchildren, Janile Harris and her husband, Andrew, Alycia Kropf and her husband, Jordan, Taylor Moss, James Moss, Emily Moss, Brittaney Moss and her fiancé, Aaron Snyder; great-grandsons, Holt Harris and Julian Kropf; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters.
A viewing will be held 9:30 to 11 a.m. Oct. 11 in Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 E. Weis St., Topton. The family asks everyone wear a mask and practice social distancing. A graveside service will follow 11:30 a.m. in St. Paul’s Church Cemetery, 1249 Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown. Military honors will conclude the service.
