Phoebe M. Derr, 97, of Vera Cruz, died Sept. 17, 2021, at the home of her daughter. She was the wife of the late Jennings J. “Jack” Derr, who died in 2004. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Earl M.W. and Cleo F. (Muth) David.

She was a graduate of Emmaus High School, Class of 1942. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

She was a member of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Emmaus and an associate member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, Coopersburg.

She is survived by sons, Kevin and his wife, Susan and Timothy; a daughter, Gail and her husband, Houstin Lichtenwalner; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah J. Edwards.
