Youth Volunteer Council seeks new members

Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley’s Youth Volunteer Council is calling all high school students in the Greater Lehigh Valley in grades 9-12 to join the council for the 2021-22 school year.

This is an opportunity to:

•join a group of like-minded peers

•volunteer your time for our community around your schedule

•join in group volunteer opportunities after school and on the weekends

•make new friends

•learn about nonprofits in the Lehigh Valley and how you can help

•discuss important topics with community leaders and industry professionals

•develop leadership skills

•build your resumé for your future

•fulfill volunteer requirements for graduation

•make your voice heard

•and so much more!

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 4 p.m. at a selected nonprofit. During the winter months, the council will meet on Zoom on the third Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m.

The first meeting for the 2021-22 year is on Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. at the Banana Factory, Crayola Gallery. This meeting will be an orientation for the new year. Parents and families are welcome to attend.
