Identity theft

A resident of Sheffield Drive, Lower Macungie Township, discovered her personal information was fraudulently used after she was contacted regarding an unemployment claim, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogeslville. The resident reported the fraud Aug. 12 and was advised to change all passwords and bank account information and to contact the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.

A resident of Indian Creek Road, Upper Milford Township, discovered his personal information was used to open a fraudulent unemployment claim, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Aug. 23 at the resident’s home.

Burglary

An unknown person used an unlocked window to enter a business in the 5100 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, sometime between 3 p.m. July 29 and 12:53 a.m. Aug. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Nothing was found to be missing, according to the business owner.

Theft

Four personal checks totaling $46,121.45 were fraudulently written and cashed from the bank account of two residents of the 2000 block of Kingsview Road, Lower Macungie Township, between July 1 and 22, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The checks, one for $7,500, one for $7,821, one for $20,800 and one for $10,000, were made out to three separate entities.

Assault

Three women were arrested after state police troopers responded for a large group of people fighting at the Movie Tavern Trexlertown, 6150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 10:09 p.m. July 18, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. One of those involved in the fight was later interviewed in the emergency room of St. Luke’s Hospital where she told police she was involved in a fight with two women and sustained an injury to her forehead requiring medical attention. Accident

A 21-year-old driver, of Coopersburg, escaped injury when his pickup truck rolled onto its roof in the 1100 block of Beverly Hills Road, Lower Milford Township, 4:57 a.m. Aug. 14, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle, a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500, was traveling east when it went off the south shoulder of the road then crossed the center of the road and into the westbound lane before striking a tree and tipping onto its left side. The vehicle next rolled onto its roof down an embankment. The pickup was towed from the scene.

Harassment

Two people were cited for harassment after an argument escalated into a physical fight at a location in the 1900 block of Winthrop Way, Lower Macungie Township, 11:19 p.m. July 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A woman allegedly shoved a male and he allegedly struck her with a closet rod.

DUI

A 32-year-old male, of Emmaus, was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Mulberry Street and North Street, Emmaus borough, 12:31 a.m. Aug. 28, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
