Lillian I. (Krautsack) Ernst, 96, of Allentown, died Aug. 25, 2021, in her daughter’s home. She was the wife of the late Edwin G. Ernst. Born in Coplay, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Weber) Krautsack.

She was a member of Zion’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.

Before retiring in 1981, she worked on the first transistor at Western Electric for 30 years.

She will be remembered for her love of cooking, especially old German recipes.

She is survived by a son, David E. and his wife, Tracey, of Palm Harbor, Fla.; a daughter, Linda J., wife of the late George Beers, of Allentown; granddaughters, Dr. Jennifer Beers, Amy and her husband, Jonathan Asbath and Haley; a great-granddaughter, Lily Asbath; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Sept. 3 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown. Arrangements were made by the Trexler Funeral Home, Allentown.
