Louis J. Kurtz Sr., 73, of Northampton, died Aug. 14, 2021, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was the husband of the late Wanda M. (Kratson) Kurtz.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Louis S. and Hermina A. (Grabner) Kurtz.

He was the previous owner of Beerco, Allentown. He was a Vehicle 2 Hoodline Committee representative since 1968 at Mack Trucks.

He was a member of Queenship of Mary Church, Northampton.

He is survived by a life companion, Marge Burns; a daughter, Jennifer Kurtz; a grandson, Tristan Rodriguez; and a sister, Monica Frantz and her husband Niles.

He was predeceased by a son, Louis Jr.; and a sister, Rita Molnar.
