Karl M. Knutsen, 85, of Whitehall, died Aug. 13, 2021, in his home. He was the husband of the late Oli (Sikveland) Knutsen.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Karl and Gunvar (Abrahamsen) Knutsen.

He was in the U.S. Army.

He was employed as a deck hand on tugboats for Turecamo Maritime, Staten Island for 42 years.

He is survived by a daughter, Wendy Knutsen-Hess and her husband Richard; and four grandchildren, Gunnar, Bergen, Kjirsten and Konstanse.
