PARKLAND LIBRARY Sustainable living presentation, Aug. 31

Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave., South Whitehall Township, will host staff from Green Alchemy Farm for a presentation on sustainable living 6:30 p.m. Aug. 31 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

Learn about the effect daily choices have on climate change and some ways to minimize the impact on the environment.

Topics include energy consumption, family planning, waste production, alternative power sources and sustainable agriculture.

The library will present its biweekly Facebook video series “Let’s Talk Books” for adults 10:30 a.m. Sept. 7 to spotlight a new book at the library.

The Teen’s Anime Club, for kids in grades six through 12, will watch a selected anime and chat while eating snacks 6:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

Short Story Society will meet to discuss the novel “The Hunter’s Wife” by Anthony Doerr at 3 p.m. Sept. 9 in the Carol and Perry Zirkel Meeting Room.

Join yoga instructor Deanna Nagle for her gentle yoga for adults 4 p.m. Sept. 8 at the library.

She will guide participants through a range of motions to improve energy and focus, decrease pain in the body, and calm the central nervous system.

Registration is needed to attend the Teen Anime Club, and all adult programs except Let’s Talk Books.
