Matthew G. Schantz, 40, of Emmaus, died Aug. 19, 2021 in his home. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Gordon K. and Linda P. (Petraitis) Schantz.

He was a 1999 graduate of Emmaus High School and was formerly employed by ATAS International, Inc. He was a board member of Sights for Hope. He loved the outdoors, hiking, his dog, Chumley and golf. He was an avid Eagles fan. He had a special love for his nieces and nephew.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Christine and her husband, John Gaines, of Emmaus and Renee and her husband, Steve Gould, of Macungie; nieces, Elizabeth and Morgan Gould; nephew, Andrew Gaines.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
