Kathleen E. “Kass” Stephen, 76, of Cedarbrook, formerly of Emmaus, died Aug. 20, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown Campus. She was the wife of the late Martin H. Stephen who died March 3, 2007. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Alfred E. Sr. and Catherine E.E. (Erie) Bachert.

She was employed at Rodale Publishing for many years.

She is survived by a son, Duane; a daughter, Alicia and her husband, Andrew Bertha; a sister, Linda Bachert; brothers, John E. and James C. Bachert; a granddaughter, Anissa Bonilla; a great-granddaughter, Elianna Bonilla. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Best and a brother, Alfred E. Bachert Jr.
