Donald Allen Sigley

Donald Allen Sigley, 84, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., died July 2, 2021. Born in Bethlehem, he was the loving husband of the late Marlene (Schwartz) Sigley who died in 2020. They were married for 63 years and resided in Emmaus. He was the last surviving child of the late Sterling and Stella (Place) Sigley.

He retired from Bethlehem Steel after 29 years of employment as the corporate security foreman. He then worked an additional 25 years for Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, passion for sports, especially baseball and love of his wife. Whenever traveling he always crossed paths with someone he knew and his friendships lasted forever.

He is survived by a daughter, Lori and her husband, Jim Lucas, of Wellington, Fla.; a son, Donald Jr. and his wife, Jennifer, of Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren Jason, Travis, Dylan, Lauren and her husband, Rhett Ramsey, as well as numerous friends and relatives.

Memorial contributions can be made to either Cancer Center of the Lehigh Valley (give.lvhn.org), the Alpha 1 Foundation (alpha1.org) or Trustbridge Hospice of Palm Beach County (trustbridge.org).

A celebration of life will be held for both Marlene and Donald 10 a.m. Aug. 7, at the Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem, followed by the burial at Northwood Cemetery, Emmaus. A calling hour will be held 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. A reception will follow at Fire Company #2, Emmaus.
