Rose M. Hanzl, 92, of Emmaus, formerly of Allentown, died peacefully July 24, 2021. She was the wife of the late Joseph J. Hanzl Jr. They were married for 45 years at the time of his death in 1996. Born in Emmanuelsville, she was a daughter of the late Ignatz and Anna (Geosits) Bendekovits.

She was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Allentown and a member of the senior citizens group at the church.

She worked at the former Western Electric Company, Allentown, for 22 years, retiring in 1984.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane and her husband, Bryan Steiner; sons, James (Lynette), John (Joyce) and a daughter-in-law, Donna, wife of eldest son the late Joseph J. III; four grandsons; four granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by siblings, Edward, Ignatz, Theresa and Lillian.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the church.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Aug. 5 in the church. Calling hours will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 4 and 9:45 to 10:40 a.m. Aug. 5 in the O’Donnell Funeral Home, Allentown.
