Alburtis Area 55+ seniors will resume monthly meetings noon at the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club Pavilion, 3818 Gun Club Road, Alburtis. Come join the fun social gathering. The 1803 House will be open for tours in participation with “Lehigh Valley Passport to History Weekend,” noon to 4 p.m. Also Aug. 15. The 1803 House will feature candle making, a scavenger hunt, house tours and root beer floats in an 1803 House commemorative mug. Volunteers will share their new herb garden along with colonial usage and remedies of each herb.
The 69th annual Vera Cruz Homecoming will be held noon to 8 p.m. at Mystic Chain Park, Main Road East, Vera Cruz, The event will feature music performances by the Rehrig Brothers and The Large Flowerheads, a cakewalk, food and beverages.
