Jeffrey R. Wimmer

Jeffrey R. Wimmer, 63, died July 14, 2021, peacefully at home with his family by his side.

Born July 19, 1957, in Allentown, he was a son of Stanley R. Wimmer and the late Phyllis C. (Ruser) Wimmer.

A 1975 graduate of Whitehall High School, he studied criminal justice at Kutztown University.

He started his career as a deputy sheriff for the County of Los Angeles, a job he truly loved.

He moved back to Whitehall to be close to his niece and nephew and was a constant presence of love throughout their lives.

Later in life, he was a caddie at Saucon Valley Country Club, a job that allowed him to share his passion and knowledge of golf with the members, friends and guests.

He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his stepmother MaryAnn (Christoff) Wimmer of Whitehall; brother Richard Wimmer of Dade City, Fla.; sisters Sheri Wimmer of Walnutport, and Lisa (Wimmer) Franko and companion, Tony Stellar, of Schnecksville; niece Lindsay Franko and fiancée Ewin MacFarlane of Sydney, Australia; nephew Griffin Franko of Fort Worth, Texas.

A brief memorial service will be held 4 p.m. July 24 in The Carriage House of Olde Homestead Golf Course, 6598 Route 309, New Tripoli, followed by a celebration of his life and refreshments until 7 p.m. Golf and casual attire are requested. Interment will be private.
