Dr. Charles J. Ronckovitz, 83, died July 14, 2021, in Allentown. He was the husband of Rosemarie.

Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he was a son of Charles and Antoinette Ronckovitz.

He attended Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, Scotch Plains, N.J. and Syracuse University. He graduated as a Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.

He opened a practice in Whitehall, where he worked until he retired in 2004.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by her two sons, Charles Knauss and his wife Christianna and Dennis Knauss and his wife Ellen; his three sons, Charles, Craig and James Ronckovitz; a brother, Thomas Ronckovitz and his wife Peggy; and a nephew, Thomas Ronckovitz Jr.
