Bath: Youth groups to collaborate

Emmanuel’s Lutheran Church, 3175 Valley View Drive, has joined forces with youth in grades 6-12 from Christ United Church of Christ, Little Moore, and would like to do something collaborative with all churches in the area. There is a youth rally scheduled for 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 28 at Covenant Methodist Church, 2715 Mountain View Drive. There will be music, games, food trucks and speakers.

The third annual dragon boat festival will be held 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 1 at Evergreen Lake, Bath.

During the months of July and August, Emmanuel’s Church will help the Bath Area Food Bank by collecting canned vegetables, crackers, cleaning products and paper products. There is also an ongoing need for ramen noodles.

Donations can be dropped off in the vestibule to the downstairs parlor.

Unangst Tree Farms, 1300 Beth-Bath Pike, East Allen Township, hosts a food truck festival 4-8 p.m. Wednesdays until September. Each week features nearly a dozen food trucks, musicians and hayrides.

There are several picnic tables, but it is recommended you bring your own picnic blankets or lawn chairs.
