The trail through the woods at Indian Trail Park has been completed! Members of Lehigh Township Rails to Trails have finished covering the path with gravel.

In addition, three areas within the path’s loop now have plantings of native perennials and shrubs. Eventually, labels will be installed to identify many of these and other native plants found throughout the woods.

While the spring wildflowers are no longer blooming, the summer ones will soon appear. Colorful and unusual fungi can be found on many of the fallen tree trunks and branches as well.

Reportedly, there will be a grand opening event for the path held later this summer. Members will be on hand to discuss creek creatures and native and invasive plants. Stay tuned for announcements of this event.

Hope Lutheran Nursery School is accepting registrations for the 2021-22 school year.

The 3-year-old class meets Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the 4-year-old class meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
