FRIENDS OF JOHNSTON, Bethlehem needs help at Camel’s Hump Farm Nature Education Center 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. There are projects for all ages and ranges of abilities. Dress for the weather – wear a mask, gloves and boots. Bring a drink and snack. Minimum age to volunteer is 13 or five with adult supervision. HISPANIC CENTER LEHIGH VALLEY, Basilio Huertas Senior Center, Bethlehem is looking for artistic volunteers to instruct and encourage seniors (mostly Spanish speakers) in groups of 25 in a painting activity. NEW BETHANY MINISTRIES, Bethlehem – Make POPPIES OF REMEMBRANCE /LANTERNS OF HOPE kits for a new community fundraiser in partnership with Musikfest. Meet at the Visitor Center at SteelStacks, Ruins Parking Lot 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 21 or 22. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of sand unassisted to fill bags and place candles. VOLUNTEER CENTER OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem is recruiting high school students entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade for their YLEAD Leadership Program which will take place 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 12-16. This program helps participants develop critical leadership skills via a hybrid series (either in-person or virtual), while preparing a capstone service project.
