Sheckler News: Sheckler Elementary students reminded to return their iPads

Sheckler Elementary School’s last day of classes is June 4. Students will be dismissed 11:45 a.m.

This is the final day for students to return their iPads.

Fourth grade’s virtual science fair has been uploaded for public viewing.

Daily summer activities will be offered at the Catasauqua playground from June 14 to July 23.

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays will focus on Nerf baseball. Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for basketball games and league tournaments. There will also be basketball pickup games offered Mondays through Fridays.

The program is free, and no registration is required.

A grade-level supplies list for the 2021-22 school year has been made available for student and parent viewing. If you are a parent or guardian of a kindergarten student this year, please look at the supplies for first grade.

Sheckler is looking to hire a substitute teacher to start Aug. 20. The substitute will be scheduled 7:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. every day.

A valid Pennsylvania teaching certification is required, and candidates will be required to substitute in kindergarten through grade 4 classrooms or expressive arts positions (music, art, library, gym, STEAM).

The compensation is set at $130 per day.
