Stanley S. Stauffer

Stanley S. Stauffer, 94, of Macungie, died May 11, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Jean (Kauffman) Stauffer who died in 2019. They were married for 74 years. Born in Macungie, he was a son of the late Henry and Mary (Eisenhard) Stauffer.

He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was the last surviving crew member of his ship, the USS Hazard.

He retired in 1981 as a supervisor from Western Electric after 33 years of service.

He was a man of strong principles, a magnetic personality and a very generous nature. More than anything else, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by sons, Richard and his wife, Tracy, of Center Valley and Larry Sr. and his wife, Ingrid, of Allentown; grandchildren Larry Jr. and his wife, Stacey, Michael and his wife, Colette, Stephen and his wife, Alison, Richard and his wife, Nora, Robert and his wife, Mary, James and his wife, Julie, Vincent Shiban and his wife, Brenda and Christopher Shiban and his wife, Jennifer; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Arlene Elsenbaumer, of Macungie and a daughter-in-law, Jeanne, of Macungie. He was predeceased by brothers, Elmer, Oscar, Clayton, Paul and Kenneth and sisters, Annie, Edna and Mae.

A private memorial service will be held for the family at the Schmoyer Funeral Home, Breinigsville.
